An addiction to videogames is behind me.  Now I have better and more interesting hobbies.  Now don’t get me wrong.  I still play videogames, but I don’t play them as much as before.  I mainly play shooters like Metroid and Mega Man.  Now those games still interest me.  Metroid will always be my favorite series.  I don’t know why I enjoy those games so much.  I’m just happy that I don’t play games as much as I used to.

Now music is my main interest.  I turned to music AFTER I cut myself!  The kind of music that I listen to didn’t make me cut.  I cut before I discovered music.  I have to shout it because some people don’t understand.  I listen to metal, but I can listen to just about anything.  I don’t know why I listen to music so much, but my tastes have definitely changed.

I turned to sports after I watched a Detroit Tigers game.  Is was against the Cubs.  I’ve been addicted to the Tigers since.  I watch football and hockey as well.  I’m a big fan of the Red Wings and Packers.  I even went to my first Tigers game this year against the Brewers.  They won and I guess that is all that matters.  I want to experience that atmosphere at least one more time.

Writing and blogging also interest me.  Who knows how worse off I’d be if it wasn’t for my ability to express my suicidal and depressing thoughts.  I write more than just negative thoughts.  Some of my entries are pretty positive.  It’s not like I’m obsessed with death and suicide like I used to be.  I have definitely grown and I think that is a good thing.  I’m better off now than a year ago and I have my blog to thank for that.
